Technical documentation (Annex VII)
The documentation a manufacturer must draw up before placing a product on the market and keep for at least ten years.
Annex VII lists the content: a general description of the product and its intended purpose, software versions and user information; a description of the design, development and production, and of the vulnerability-handling processes including the SBOM and CVD policy; the cybersecurity risk assessment; the support period; the standards and specifications applied; reports of tests; and a copy of the EU declaration of conformity. It must be kept for ten years after placing on the market or for the support period, whichever is longer, and made available to authorities on request.
