Definition
IEC 62443
The international standard series for security of industrial automation and control systems, frequently mapped to CRA requirements by OT manufacturers.
A series of standards for the security of industrial automation and control systems covering organisations, system integrators and component manufacturers. Part 4-1 (secure product development lifecycle) and Part 4-2 (technical security requirements for components) overlap substantially with the CRA's Annex I Part I and Part II requirements, and are expected to inform the harmonised standards. An existing 62443-4-1 process is a strong head start on CRA vulnerability handling and documentation, not a substitute for conformity assessment.
