Distributor

A supply-chain party other than the manufacturer or importer that makes a product available on the market without affecting its properties.

A natural or legal person in the supply chain, other than the manufacturer or the importer, who makes a product with digital elements available on the Union market without affecting its properties. Distributors verify that CE marking and documentation are present and act with due care; a distributor who modifies a product substantially or markets it under its own name becomes a manufacturer.
