Definition
Early warning
The first Article 14 notification, due within 24 hours of awareness, indicating the event and, where applicable, the Member States concerned.
The first of three staged notifications under Article 14, to be submitted without undue delay and in any event within 24 hours of becoming aware. For an exploited vulnerability it indicates, where applicable, the Member States on whose territory the product has been made available; for a severe incident it also indicates whether malicious or unlawful acts are suspected. Its purpose is speed, not completeness — the 72-hour notification carries the detail.
